Founder/Scientist

Dr. Joseph Geraci is a mathematical physicist, medical scientist, and AI innovator whose career bridges quantum computing, machine learning, and translational medicine. He earned his PhD in mathematics under Dr. Daniel Lidar, specializing in quantum algorithms, supported by DARPA and the U.S. Army’s Disruptive Technology Office, before completing postdoctoral training in artificial intelligence for medicine, oncology, and neuroscience. His work at the intersection of mathematics and biomedicine revealed a fundamental flaw in how clinical trials are designed: the disease labels used to train AI models often obscure true patient heterogeneity. This led him to a breakthrough insight—a set of algorithms that improve our understanding of disease taxonomy through a new paradigm of machine intelligence capable of learning from small data.

In response, Dr. Geraci founded NetraMark, where he developed NetraAI: a mathematically-augmented AI platform capable of uncovering hidden, explainable subpopulations in small, noisy datasets. Built on a novel long-range memory mechanism, NetraAI identifies synergistic variable bundles that characterize stratifications of patients with unmatched precision. This enables pharmaceutical companies to pre-specify clinically distinct subpopulations, thereby improving regulatory success rates by enabling sponsors to target the patients most likely to benefit. Through his work, Dr. Geraci is helping redefine how we think about health, illness, and intelligence itself.
